The American startup Firecrawl, co-founded by Brazilian Nicolas Silberstein Camara, raised 75 million dollars in a Series B round. The investment accompanies the launch of Alexandria, a platform created to organize large volumes of knowledge used by artificial intelligence models and agents.
The company operates at a less visible layer of the AI race: it transforms information spread across the internet into structured data that other applications can consult. According to the company, the technology is already used by more than 150 thousand companies.
The round was led by Smash Capital and had participation from investors such as Altos, Nexus and Y Combinator. According to the company, the resources will be used to expand the business and develop the new platform.
