The Búzios City Council approved this Thursday (24) Bill 78/2026, which establishes rental assistance for women in situations of domestic and family violence in the municipality.
The benefit will be R$ 1,621.00 per month, with an initial duration of three months, extendable once, totaling up to six months per beneficiary. The resources come from the Municipal Women's Assistance Fund.
The requirements include having an urgent protective measure in force, being in a situation of risk or socioeconomic vulnerability, proving residence in the municipality for at least six months and being monitored at the Specialized Women's Care Center. The project goes to the mayor for approval.
