The departure of Vanderlei Bento from the Municipal Secretariat for Public Policies for People with Disabilities and Autism shook the political scenes in Cabo Frio this Wednesday (30). Councilor of the municipality, he was dismissed from his position upon request, by ordinance signed by Mayor Dr. Serginho.
In a video published on social networks, the councilman explained that the dismissal is part of the procedure to resume the mandate. As he was licensed from the chair to command the secretariat, he said it was necessary to formalize the departure from the folder. The ordinance is number 1,151, of September 30, 2026.
The movement occurs on the eve of the election of the Board of Directors of the Chamber, scheduled for this Thursday (1). The councilors elect president, vice president and secretariats, who will lead the Legislature in the 2027/2028 biennium. Vanderlei said he was on his way to the House and that the procedure is regular.
