An earthquake of magnitude 1.7 was recorded in Armação dos Búzios on Thursday afternoon (15). The seismic shock was felt by residents in different parts of the city, who reported tremors in buildings and homes. The event was confirmed by seismic monitoring institutes and there are no reports of material damage or casualties.
The Civil Defense of Búzios advises that, in case of new earthquakes, the population should remain calm, stay away from windows and objects that may fall and look for open areas.
