A UPA security guard at Parque Burle, in Cabo Frio, was removed from duty after attacking the father of an underage patient on Tuesday night (22). Images circulating on social media show the moment of the punches inside the unit.
The Municipal Health Department opened an administrative procedure to investigate the case and stated that no circumstances justify the use of violence as a reaction. The ministry reported that it is in contact with the family of the man attacked to provide assistance.
The Military Police were called because the patient's father was allegedly upset and threatening the unit's employees. According to the corporation, those involved recognized the excesses and the incident was closed as a peaceful resolution of conflicts, without arrests.
