Praia do Pontal, in Arraial do Cabo, was pre-approved for international certification under the Blue Flag Program after completing the first stage of the process, which monitors water quality. The result is the result of the work of the City Hall, with the Department of Environment and Sanitation monitoring the required environmental criteria.
The structure required by the program begins to be implemented next week, with actions aimed at accessibility, safety and signaling. Once the requirements of this last step are met, the final certification process will be completed. Arraial do Cabo already has Praia Lagunar do Caiçara, which has maintained certification for two years.
