Five men were arrested on Tuesday (22) after a confrontation between military police and suspects in the Inoã neighborhood, in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro. According to the Military Police, two pistols and narcotics were seized in the action.
The operation began after a report of drug trafficking in a Minha Casa Minha Vida condominium. Shots were exchanged during the approach and four suspects were arrested at the scene with a pistol and drugs.
A fifth man was found injured elsewhere in the town, with a second pistol, and taken to hospital. Maricá City Hall reported that he underwent surgery and is in a stable condition. The incident was forwarded to the Maricá police station.
