The 127th Police Station of Búzios registered a record 150 arrests between January and September this year. The increase is 127% compared to the average recorded between 2021 and 2025.

According to police chief Lauro Coelho, the majority of arrests are related to drug trafficking. The unit estimates 20 to 25 arrests per month.

Among the operations highlighted are 'Fruto Podre', in May, which detained suspects of trafficking and attempted murder in the José Gonçalves neighborhood, and 'Rede Criminosa', in September, which fought groups that exploited internet services in Búzios and Cabo Frio.
