The Military Police seized, on Tuesday (29), a Honda/CG 160 motorcycle with registered theft and signs of tampering, approached during patrol in Araruama. The vehicle was taken to the city's 118th DP.
At the police station, technical expertise confirmed that the identifiers had been tampered with and characterized the motorcycle as cloned. The occurrence was registered as an infraction analogous to the crime of tampering with a vehicle identification sign, provided for in article 311 of the Penal Code.
A 17-year-old teenager remained at the disposal of the competent authority while driving. The motorcycle remains seized for procedures related to the incident.
