The Federal Police opened an investigation in Cabo Frio to investigate the distribution and use of electronic devices disguised as brooches that, in theory, could record voters' votes inside the voting booth. This Sunday's election (4) won the investigation episode in the municipality.
Seized by the Civil Police and sent to the PF, the devices display on the front the number of a candidate and hide on the back, under a sticker, a camera with a battery. The material was found with a man who voted at the Alfredo Castro Municipal School, in Jardim Excelsior, who had his cell phone seized and was silent in the approach.
The devices will undergo criminal forensics, to verify the operation and seek elements on possible registration of images during the vote. The candidate represented by the brooch number has not yet manifested.
