The Maria da Penha Patrol of the Cabo Frio Municipal Civil Guard started a campaign to collect new toys for Children's Day. The action continues until October 10th and will benefit the children of women supported by the service. Donations can be delivered to the Patrulha headquarters, at Praça Gentil Gomes de Farias, in the Passagem neighborhood.
The mobilization is the first initiative of the Children of Mary Protection Seed Project, created to expand the monitoring of families served by the Patrol and include children in reception and protection actions.
According to the deputy inspector and coordinator of the Patrol, Regiane Costa, the project represents an extension of the work carried out with women, considering that situations of violence can also have repercussions on the children's routine. The campaign includes the Municipal Civil Guard and the Secretariat of Security and Public Order.
