Operation Criminal Network carried out arrest and search warrants in Rasa, in Armação dos Búzios, and Maria Joaquina, in Cabo Frio, this Monday (28), against the control of the internet service by criminal groups in both cities. Three people were arrested.
The action brought together the Civil and Military Police, the Public Ministry, Anatel, Enel and the city halls of the two municipalities. In Alto da Rasa, agents located a property that would be used as an internet distribution point for the neighborhood.
22 Wi-Fi routers, three fiber optic rollers, a fusion machine, an optical line terminal (OLT), an optical internal distributor (Dio), two optical termination boxes (CTO) and a banner were seized. The material was taken to the 127th Búzios Police Station. According to the Military Police, residents denounced the imposition of the service.
