A sea lion once again attracted attention in the Lagos Region this Saturday (3). After passing through Arraial do Cabo and being seen in Cabo Frio, the animal was spotted lying on the sandy strip of Praia do Canto, in Búzios, apparently resting.
The record caught the attention of those on the beach. One of the people who photographed the scene reported having called the Environmental Guard to assess the need to isolate the area.
The GEMM-Lagos Marine Mammal Study Group is accompanying the animal and has sent staff to the site to monitor the conditions. The orientation is to keep distance, not to touch, not to feed and not to surround the fur seal for photos and videos.
