The Federal Court ordered the immediate execution of the sentence that requires the eviction and demolition of kiosks and bars illegally installed on Praia Brava, in Armação dos Búzios. The decision responds to a request from the Federal Public Ministry and was handed down by the 1st Federal Court of São Pedro da Aldeia.
Those responsible for the Pousada Club Brava and Camarão Preto establishments, now Rocka, have 90 days to prove their vacancy, demolition and removal of rubble, under a daily fine of R$5,000. In the case of the Praia Brava kiosk, the city hall must demolish it within 30 days.
The city hall must also immediately ban irregular activities. The court ordered Inea and concessionaires to cancel licenses and suspend water and energy. The action was filed in 2006 against the occupation of permanent preservation areas and marine land.
