The body of young Arthur Neves Pereira, 23 years old, resident of Juiz de Fora (MG), was located at around 10 am this Saturday (31) in Praia do Forte, in Cabo Frio. He was in the city with friends to enjoy the All Souls' Day holiday.
According to initial information, Arthur drowned in the dune region on Friday afternoon (30). A friend even tried to help him and pull him out of the water, but was unable to do so. The Fire Department's searches were interrupted at dusk due to lack of visibility and resumed on Saturday morning.
The young man's mother was informed of the incident and traveled from Juiz de Fora to Cabo Frio to accompany the search. The case reinforces the warning about the risks of the sea and the importance of respecting the guidelines of the lifeguards.
