The City of Iguaba Grande presented the project for the new Municipal Polyclinic, which will be built next to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA). The unit was planned to concentrate specialized consultations, exams and procedures in the same space. The project includes six offices, four exam rooms, a room for minor surgeries and patient recovery space, as well as environments for electrocardiograms and dressings. One of the differences is an office for communicable diseases, with a reserved and separate entrance. The proposal is to complement the care of Basic Health Units, receiving patients who need specialists, exams or specific procedures. The proximity to the UPA should facilitate the organization of care and expand the capacity of the municipal health network.
