A 19-year-old man was arrested this Thursday (24) in Rio das Ostras and confessed to the murder of businessman Antônio José Belmont Saraiva, 65 years old. According to the police chief, he said he did not regret the crime.

Matheus Pinheiro was located at around 6am at his grandmother's house, close to the scene of the crime. He pointed out the participation of his uncle, Silas Barreto Lima, 37 years old, suspected of having shot the victim. The police went to Macaé, but the suspect fled.

The businessman was kidnapped the night before and found dead on August 7, in a forested area in Cantagalo. The criminals asked for R$10,000 in ransom, but the bank blocked the transaction. A third party involved was arrested in Rio on August 13.
