Cabo Frio opened 676 companies and closed 366 in September, a positive balance of 310 businesses, the best for the month since 2022. Data from the Federal Government's Business Map shows a result 11% higher than in September 2025.
From January to September, there were 5,987 companies opened and 3,378 closed, with a balance of 2,609 businesses, an increase of 12.2% over the same period last year and the highest result in the last five years.
The municipality currently has 33,319 active companies, about 27% of those registered in the Lakes Region. For the peak season, the City Hall cites 260 scheduled flights at Cabo Frio International Airport, with more than 400 landings and takeoffs expected.
