Cabo Frio City Hall has teams mobilized since the early hours of this Saturday (3) to monitor the rain and act in the areas most susceptible to flooding. The actions began around 5:30 am and involve Civil Defense, the Public Services and Works secretariats and Comsercaf, with fronts in the first district and in Tamoios.
There was 21.9 millimeters of rain, with a forecast of 18 more by the end of Saturday. In Tamoios, high-performance pumps were installed at the chronic points of Avenida Independência, between Unamar and Aquarius. In Monte Alegre, teams manage runoff and soil compaction.
The Civil Defense placed the municipality in a Care Internship for the next 24 hours, with no significant complications so far. The recommendation is not to cross flooded areas or be close to rivers and canals. In an emergency, activate 199.
