The City of Búzios began this Thursday (24) the implementation of an auxiliary rainwater drainage network in the Águas Claras subdivision, in the São José neighborhood. The intervention meets an old demand from residents and seeks to improve the drainage of rainwater.

The work involves the installation of concrete manacles that will capture and guide water to the drainage system. The new network will complement the existing structure, which will be maintained, increasing flow capacity.

According to the Sanitation and Drainage Secretariat, the intervention was planned to address the difficulties faced by residents during rainy periods, when the water flow in the subdivision takes longer to decrease. The action is part of the municipality's work to expand sanitation and drainage infrastructure.
