Arraial do Cabo gained a new observation telescope installed at the Prainha viewpoint, a strategic point for spotting humpback whales during the migration season (June to November). The equipment allows you to see cetaceans up to 5 km from the coast.
The initiative is from the City Hall, in partnership with the Humpback Whale Project. The region is a transit route for whales that come up from the South to reproduce in warmer waters in the Northeast. The telescope is free and open to the public during the viewpoint's opening hours.
